PS3s hit by a global software bug. (resolved)
PlayStation 3 owners around the world have been hit by a software problem that crashes their games consoles.
The bug seems to be something related to the clock inside the PS3 - I'm guessing something to do with February 28th and deciding whether it's a leap year or not. Everyone's PS3s have reset their date and time to 31st December just before midnight. Sony say that they will try to get a patch out in the next 24 hours. Until then, no online gaming for many of us! RE: [BREAKING] PS3s hit by a global software bug.
According to the following source some people's PS3s are now working again, but I think I'll wait until we get the all clear from Sony and they've actually properly patched this bug up rather than putting a temporary replacement in place.
