DCF is in its 6th year. And when Daniel left me in charge I believed I could handle this alone. I was wrong, and I have failed you guys, and the DCF as a whole.

I regret the actions I took that allowed this to happen. They should not have happened, and I am sorry for this.

However, I am not just a man who says "I made a mistake, good bye". No, I am a man who will admit he's made a mistake, but will help with any solution deemed necessary to fix it.

I am listening, and I am ready. What do you want me to do?

OOC: haven't specified a date or year, because didn't really know when. But it's based probably 100's of years in the past when children worked in factories, still slaves etc. but generally quiet in some areas.

Ministry of Magic
Racheal Carlow's office

Racheal paced her office, her footsteps echoing off the cold, stone walls. She breathed quietly, awaiting news of his location from one of her sources. He was taking such a long time with the information that she needed and she was beginning to grow impatient, she nodded her head to herself, trying to calm her nerves. This was the second time in a month that Toolbox had dissapeared from right in front of her, her sources were posted around the country looking for him, she had made sure that everywhere he went he had someone with him that could keep an eye on him. But this hadn't been enough, she was foolish enough to let it happen the first time, but a second time!
She shook her head and finally sat down at her desk, this was no time to be telling herself off for a stupid mistake, she needed to find him before it was too late. Racheal was the main source of information on Toolbox for the ministry, Racheal never made mistakes, always had the right information, always knew what was happening. But right now... she didn't know what was going on. While she thought about what could have happened to the wizard she had positioned with him the door to her office flew open and an elderly wizard who looked like he had just run a mile stood in the doorway, "Miss Carlow... We have news of his location! They're all... They're all dead, but one managed to make it out."
Racheal looked at the wizard for a moment before standing, "And you're sure that this information is correct Mr Swires?"
He nodded and bowed his head, "You're the only one left."
Without another word she quickly walked out of her office, the elderly wizard in tow, "Not another moment can be wasted then. If I am truly the last one left from this case then I must subdue him for multiple counts of murder."
"But..."
She sighed and paused for a moment, "If we wait any longer I won't be able to stop him. He'll be too powerful to detain."
The wizard nodded at her reluctantly then passed her an envelope, "This has his current location, he'll be there. Just... make sure that... Just make sure that you come out alive Miss Carlow..." He thought for a few moments, "Racheal, it has been an absolute pleasure working with you."
She laughed, "I'm not dead yet, morbid talk like that could get someone killed."
The wizard smiled at her then a loud crack echoed among the hall and Racheal was gone.

London

The streets of London were cold and quiet as Racheal appeared with a loud crack, she opened the envelope and read quietly, the address was one she recognised, when she was younger she lived in the house across the road from the address and she remembered it well.
The first few thoughts that came to her were, 'Is this a trap?' and 'Why that house?' Racheal shook her head, it was probably just a coincidence, she needed to have a clear head to do this.
Racheal apparated to the road outside the address and looked at the house, it looked like any other house on the street, plain, slightly dirty but ordinary. A kid ran past her, she watched his hand try and slide into her pocket, he was fast the kid, but she grabbed his wrist and pushed him away, "Run."
Doing as he was told he ran back down the street, looking a little shocked, Racheal didn't care, all she could see was the house. Walking towards it she had one thing in mind, taking Toolbox down once and for all.

Role Playing as Lillin Meahra

Lilli slowly walked through Hogsmeade, it had started snowing again and the grey skies reflected her mood. Her parents had written a letter addressed to her, saying that they knew where she was and they were not happy about it:

Lilli,

Come home immediately. We know you're at that school and we know that you're learning spells that we could just as easily have taught you. You've been a bad girl again running away like that and not coming home. And you know what happens to people who do bad things. They get punished. We will be seeing you soon. I can promise you that. You will regret the decision to ever run away from us. Regret it deeply.

Father

He hadn't sworn in the letter or explained in detail what he would do, or what he would let her mother do but it still scared her. It scared her that she'd been found by the only two people that she was afraid of.
Fearing what might happen to her, she shut herself away from the world, making sure that she was hidden from everyone. Her health had deteriorated rapidly as she didn't eat or drink anything. She'd sliced her arms to ribbons so many times that the cuts stopped healing. There was no doubt that Lilli was a mess.
Walking through Hogsmeade she wore her plain black robes with her hair hung over her face slightly, the bags under her eyes hadn't totally dissapeared yet. Her appearance was shabby at best and very dark.
She looked through shop windows searching for anything, keeping an eye around her at all times just in case someone was watching her, about to jump out from the shadows...

On his way to the duelling club, Leon was thinking how his previous class became a mess. These kids won't just listen to what he says and he wondered if everything would be alright this time.
The halls were a bit empty today, it was probably because of the time of the year since it's near Christmas and everybody might still be warming themselves in bed.
As he entered the room, Leon quickly glanced around to see if the place was clean. Evidently enough that everything was spic and span, Leon took out his wand flicked it in front of the board.

Role Playing as Jack Miller

Jack broke into a smile, unable to bottle up his excitement any longer. The weather was unseasonably warm, and therefore perfect for what he had planned. This time he had not worried too much about his dress, turning up in jeans and a t-shirt with hair nowhere near as neat as on their first date as, hopefully, he wouldn't be needing it anyway. He sat down on the side of the Lake, gazing over the deep blue water before taking a quick glance around; it looked like they were the only ones who had not been caught completely unawares by the weather – there wasn’t a soul to be seen. Absolutely perfect. He turned back to the Lake which, as if it had known they were coming, was as docile as it had ever been; in fact, perfect conditions for swimming in. A light breeze played against his cheek, a shadow of the blizzards which had battered against the walls of the castle for the preceding weeks.

Jack twisted round once more, sensing more than anything a vague figure in the distance. But even from that far away that vague figure was still beautiful. He stood up quickly as he confirmed who was approaching him, moving to greet the newcomer. His smile returned, soon infecting his entire body. “Tiffany!” he called for want of anything better, his emotions evident.

A flame appeared on the filter, lighting it before dying out to an ember that ignited when a toke was taken. The luggage beside her was wet from the snow as was her cloak.

Role Playing as Vernette Flourentine

Vernette took a seat at her desk. The time was 12:50 in the afternoon, and already she could her the distant rumble of students finishing lunch and departing from the Great Hall. She opened up her lower left desk drawer to reveal a small black box, and her still animated rock snake. The snake was coiled around the box, as if protecting it. "Atta boy," she said, carefully removing the box and inspecting it's contense. All 10 glass balls filled with smoke were still safely inside, wrapped in cotton to prevent any accidental breaking. She placed the box back in the coils of her snake and closed the drawer. It was an odd thing to have an animated rock snake in ones drawer, but Vernette found it to be rather appealing, knowing she had one more layer of defense should any students, or vampires, go crazy in her class.

Turning away from her musings and towards the door, Vernette unlocked and opened it with a wave of her wand. Today was a test day, and she didn't want any students trying to get out of it by saying her door was shut and they didn't think class was in session. Last, before the students arrived, Vernette took out a large pot with a lid on it and placed it on her desk. A faint, dynamic, beat could be heard from within the pot. "A little treat for when they finish," Vernette said to herself, hoping that positive reinforcement would keep her students in line today. And so the wating began.

Evan sighed and slipped his hands in his pockets, slowly trundling down one of Hogsmeade's many winding side streets. After a moment he stopped, realising how stupid he was being – in the event of an attack it would take him extra precious seconds to sort himself out; seconds that could mean the difference between life and death. What was happening to him lately? Ever since Lilli had entered his life… he couldn’t help but smile at the thought of her, but even so he needed to stay on his guard; she wouldn’t always be around to help save him. He shook his head and continued on his way, moving faster and more purposefully now towards the main high street – at least he could look busy even if he wasn’t. Wow. Evan stopped, looking up. For the first time in his life, he had the luxury of being bored. In a permanent life or death situation like the one he had grown up in, slouching around not only could but most probably would get you killed.

After a moment the dingy street opened out to the busy shopping street that he knew to be Hogsmeade. Shoppers of all shapes and sizes were hurrying around, most of them clutching little plastic bags full of whatever rubbish they had bought. Evan watched them go, leaning on one of the shop fronts as he did so.

Jack sighed, stuffing his gloved hands into his pockets. So much had happened recently, and it was such a relief to get away from it all. With nothing else to distract him, he couldn't help but his mind drift to Lilli and Evan; what an odd couple they were. Perhaps he should get to know the latter, so he could see if he was really worth of her heart. Not that it was any of his business; but since when did that matter? Heh. If Tiffany could read his mind right now she'd be seriously disappointed. He really needed to stop obsessing over Lilli, but he couldn't help it. One moment he had been practically in love with her, the next terrified out of his wits. And Jack was never terrified; she was obviously quite the lady.

Serious Cafe. Meh. He had nowhere else to go. He stretched out his hand and slowly pushed the door open, instantly hit by the whiff of warm coffee. He could really do with one of those. Heaving a sigh of relief to be out of the cold, he ripped his gloves and hat off and wandered over to the counter. "Coffee, please," he said shortly, still not entirely concentrating on what was going on around him. It arrived promptly, and he gripped it as if his life depended on it, trying to get as much of its searing heat into him as he could. Finding an empty window table, he sat down and began to drink.

The butterfly had been at it for almost a fortnight since Mia had left the ice-cream parlour chasing a butterfly. Since then she had been tracking the butterfly, quickly packing the basic necessities and following the butterfly.

It took them almost two weeks to arrive at the edge of the Forbidden Forest. The butterfly had led Mia all the way to her new, longed-for school, Hogwarts. But of course, she didn’t know that. All she knew was that the butterfly had gotten tired, and decided to stop fluttering around, settling on her shoulder.

She didn’t know she had arrived at Hogwarts. But she happily settled down, twirling her fingers, playing with the butterfly.
”You’re so pretty,” she mused to the weakling, ”You’re almost golden, you. You’ve kept me going for so long! She rummaged in her backpack. Toothbrush, Water-can, Musli-bars, compass, wand, transfiguration textbook for light reading. No map. She turned to the butterfly again.

Role Playing as Marcus Grimm

The school was rather busy today, the halls were flooded with students which looked like busy worker ants trying to get their way to their respective classrooms. It was going to be just another day of school for most of them, or at least for one student named Marcus.

Finally made his way up the stairs, Marcus took deep breaths as he reached the fourth floor of this ever huge castle. He wasn't used to walking around this much compared to his early muggle school back in Japan which was quite smaller than this. He then walked against the huge flow of students in the hall towards the library. It would be his first visit there.

Woah...
That's all Marcus could ever say as he stopped dead (well not literally) seconds after he stepped inside the library.

It was huge and had lots and lots and lots of rows of shelves stacked with so many, many, many books. His old library would simply look like a restroom compared to this one. There were also students inside, there were quite a lot of them actually and the silence of the place was deafening.

"Okay, time to look for some clues about this rickety ol' castle." Marcus walked along countless rows of shelves in search of a book that would at least give him some clues to his grandfather Gilver. After a couple of minutes searching or at least almost half an hour, Marcus stumbled on a old book along with other potion related books in a shelf somewhere in the middle of the library.

"GG."
That's all it says on the first blank page of the book. Marcus then wondered, could this book be by any chance, Gilver's? And as he decided to read the book, Marcus took a seat and opened the it to find out more about it. It could Gilver's, then again, it might be somebody else's.
