Charms Class - Lesson 4
Vernette walked carefully down the halls to her classroom. There had been an awful lot of pranking going on at the school lately. She wasn't particularly surprised though, after observing some of the students in her class. She checked her door for jinxes, and then proceeded into the room. A few quick spells informed her that there were no bewitched items in her room, aside from her stone snake and suit of armour.

"Now," Vernette thought to herself, "To catch the little prankster red handed." Tapping her wand against the door frame, she put a charm on the entrence, ensuring that anyone who entered her room with any bewitched items would set of a shrill alarm inside the room. And she had just the right detention sentence for them...

Taking her seat at the front of the room, Vernette prepared for the lesson. Review day today, and she knew some her students needed it more than others. With a stack of graded essays on her desk, she eagerly awaited the arrival of her students. "Who will it be..." She thought. "Who will it be..."

RE: Charms Class - Lesson 4
Role Playing as Lillin Meahra

Lilli walked into the room calmly nodding to the professor as she entered, "Nice door trap professor."
She took a seat near the back of the room and took out all the equipment she would need for the lesson, taking a look around she realised the room was pretty empty, but there was a very suspicious looking stack of parchment on the professors desk that she didn't like the look of, "Professor, not to be rude, but what [i]is[/is] that smell? It reminds me of frogspawn or something."
Realising that Ms Flourentine wouldn't be able to smell it she tried pinpointing where it came from, "It's coming from outside..."

It's not easy to distinguish good from evil. Sinners can surprise you. And the same is true for saints. Why do we try to simply distinguish people as good or evil? Because no one wants to admit that compassion and cruelty can live side by side in one heart. And that anyone is capable of anything...

RE: Charms Class - Lesson 4
Kayla actually arrived on time. When she slipped through the door her eyes flickered to Lillin and she hid a scowl. The alarm skipped her because unlike most pranksters she relied on potions for the most part, if a bewitched item had to be used she kept it in her room under lock and key. Kayla wasn't stupid, you get caught with an obvious pranking weapon you were in trouble. The potions she could just claim were an extra assignment and they were kept in a little wooden box so nothing ever spilled or broke in her bag. "Hi Miss." She muttered and sat down near the front far away from Lillin.

RE: Charms Class - Lesson 4
Jara rushed on her way to Charms class. Her schedule had to be worked out special to accommodate her disability. Classes were tricky to put around her medications, way out of the way accessible routes from place to place, and her uncanny ability to lose track of time. So this was her first class, and she was nervous. Overall, interactions with both faculty and students had been scarce, so much so that Jara hardly knew anyone's name.

She took a big breath and moved towards the door.

Crack!

First attempt through the door proved unsuccessful. Great. Way to announce the parade of the cripple, Jara. Her wheel was caught on the door frame. Jara quickly wiggled her wheels, trying to break lose before someone noticed.

Role Playing as Vernette Flourentine

"Hm, smell? I don't smell anything. Didn't notice it coming over here either. If it's frogspawn, I can assure you, it's staying out of this room, though."

Noticing that one of her new students was stuck on the door, Vernette watched with a concerned look in her eye as the girl struggled through the door. She had received a note about her, Jara was her name. And Vernette knew from experience, not to offer a disabled person help until they need it, lest she offend them.

RE: Charms Class - Lesson 4
Role Playing as Adam Tallorn

Adam calmly walked into the lesson, pausing to look at the disabled girl stuck at the door, "Hey, do you need a hand? My name's Adam by the way, haven't seen you around before, is this your first lesson?"
He realised he was asking a few too many questions but he didn't mind, he didn't want to be rude and just open the door for her, he just ignored the fact that she was in a wheelchair. But he still wanted to make sure that it was okay for him to open it for her, just in case, "Hogwarts is great, you'll love it." He grinned at her.

RE: Charms Class - Lesson 4
Role Playing as Evan Koth

Evan swept into the room and sat down on the closest seat, hoping to avoid the embarrassment caused last time when he had sat next to Lilli - he wasn't willing to go through that again. Stepping back reluctantly to allow another boy to rush into the room, he gingerly picked his way through the classroom, noting and then promptly ignoring the commotion caused by the wheelchair as it came unstuck; he had far more important things to worry about.

OOC: The 'other boy' is Jack because I can't be bothered to RP him properly.

Kayla grinned at Adam and nodded towards him to indicate he should come over to sit next to her. She noted the new girl, smiling towards her in an attempt to be friendly. Her eyes glittered playfully.

Opening the door fully and letting the girl in the wheelchair through he grinned at Kayla and took a seat next to her. He didn't activate the alarm because he never took cursed items into lessons with him, he always set them up beforehand, "Hey Kayla, wonder what this lesson'll be like, it could be interesting."

RE: Charms Class - Lesson 4
Mosden walked the corridors, debating on whether or not he should go. On one hand, he could get in trouble for skipping. But he hated charms. Or, at least, he hated what they were learning. He gave a sigh. He might as well go since he needed to learn them, even if he didn't care. Turning around and heading towards the door, he saw a small commotion at the entrance before they all went in. He gave a grimace and walked in. However, instead of everything being normal like it should be, He jumped nearly a foot in fright when he heard a shrill alarm pierce his eardrums the moment he passed the doorframe. His wand came out of his robe sleeve in an instant and he assumed a dueling stance within a second, pointing it at everyone, confusion and anger clearly shown on his face.
