RE: A teachers drink
"So Tool was at Hogwarts when it vanished!" Vernette thought, "Fascinating!" Though she was less familiar in Tool's history than some, she was very familiar with magic, and knew that there were no modern spells in exisistance that could come close to replicating what had happened to Hogwarts. Sure, you could pause time for a minute with a spell. Vernette had even encountered a curious one that a book claimed could set time in the surrounding area in reverse for five minutes, but had never seen it work in practice. To pull Hogwarts out of time for 100 years, that'd have to be ancient magic. "Tool's specialty..." she realized.
"Pardon me, Leon? Death Eaters? We haven't had those around for generations, thank goodness." |

RE: A teachers drink
Role Playing as Leon Silverberg Leon was scratching his stubbled chin and paused for a second when Vernette threw her comment about Death Eaters. He was still deep in thoughts, well, it was always like this once Leon starts to think about something. He then took the last gulp of his butterbeer and replied. "Well, in theory, if Hogwarts had disappeared with Tool inside, it is highly possible that someone else might have survived the same way as Tool's. That is of course, the only person who could have survived something like that would have the same power as him." Leon pointed his finger to Tool. "How sure are we that there was no one else inside the school just before it disappeared?" He then looked back at Vernette and continued, "What if that person who survived aside from Tool was a Death Eater? The brighter the light is, the stronger your shadow becomes." glancing back to Tool, Leon again asked "What say you, Tool?" |

RE: A teachers drink
The very notion struck fear into Vernette's eyes. A death eater, in their school, alive. And a powerful one too, to have survived Tool's ancient magic on the school. Looking to Leon she said, "You mean to say, a kind of evil version of Tool? Inside our castle?" Then looking to Tool she asked, "What are the chances of this? It's a starteling possibility, and from my eyes a very real one. And only you would have the power to stop him..." She trailed off, imagining an evil Tool, hiding in the dungeons of the castle, waiting for the right moment to strike, like silent killer. A long reign of terror, taking one victem a night... None powerful enough to stand up to him. Living in fear. Her gaze hardened on Tool. Could this evil man be inside the castle even now, as most of the teaching staff are off campus? The possibilities horrified Vernette, her mind racing. "Calm down V, calm down." she thought to herself. "It's all hypothetical."

RE: A teachers drink
Role Playing as Tool Box "No one was left inside the castle. I can tell you that much. They all..." he stopped. He was about to reveal what had happened that night, the genocide that had been committed when he stopped himself, and quickly thought of a plausible explanation. It had been Christmas time, so that gave him a suitable excuse. "Went home for Christmas. It had become a school rule for a few years before that due to repeated Death Eater invasions during the quiet and relaxing Christmas period. No one was in the castle when it went missing."

RE: A teachers drink
Role Playing as Vernette Flourentine Vernette sat in silence for moment, mulling it all over. This was a lot to take in for her. "But.... How can you be sure Tool? An evil version of you would certainly possess the needed powers to hide himself from you, wouldn't he? I mean, this all an academic discussion, I would never insinuate that there is an evil version of you running around, without knowing first at least. Though, if I did come accross that knowledge in the most direct form, it would probably be a little late for me to be insinuating anything at all..." Vernette trailed off. That gillywater was getting her shaken up a bit. Or maybe the conversation? Probably both. |

RE: A teachers drink
Role Playing as Tool Box "I suggest you read some of the more basic history books Vernette." replied Tool. "There is an evil version of me around called George. Not as powerful as me, but an evil side of me most haven't met. I would be happy to say he wasn't in the castle. I'm sure I would have felt his presence." lied Tool. Truth was, Tool did not know where George was. He'd battled him outside Azkaban the last he'd seen he was falling into the North Sea. Tool had no doubt in his mind that George could and would have survived that. But Tool felt sure he would have felt George's presence in the castle on that fatal night. Or was there too much to be done, too much evil in the combined death eaters for him to notice? Or did he notice, and not pay attention because of what he was doing? Tool didn't know. He just hoped he'd never find out, that he'd read an old news article listing him as dead.

RE: A teachers drink
"Seriously, Tool. You can do much better than that." Leon pointed out Tool's reasoning and excuses.
"In theory, if George was the evil part of you and your alter ego, it would be safe to assume that George is still alive out there somewhere." he then took his mug and was about to drink it when he noticed that he had already drank the last drop of it. "Err.. George and you were once one, right? If so, then George will not die nor fade away unless you, Tool, is still alive. Think of George as a Horcrux, only that you don't rely on him to keep yourself alive but George relies on you to keep himself alive." |

Role Playing as Tool Box "Plausible, perhaps. Though not a thought I would like to personally give much thought on, I will be happy without him. I will be happy should he never show up again. Waitress." Tool called her back over. "Another round please."

"And I shall be happy knowing he's six feet under in a led coffin," Vernette said, finishig off her las drink before the next arrived. "For once, Tool, I can say I'm glad my life isn't nearly as complex as yours. No evil versions of me running around, thank goodness. Though if he is still out there, I would think he'd show up again, be it tomorrow or a few hundred years down the road. That's the nature of such situations."

RE: A teachers drink
Role Playing as Leon Silverberg "Thank you, Tool." Leon thanked Tool as he ordered another round for them. "So, what is going to happen to the school, Tool? Surely, the Ministry would never stop looking for you. They would always come back and will try to find out what really happened to Hogwarts. Not to mention that the students in the school are becoming more and more curious these days." He then looked at Vernette and spoke, "I wouldn't worry much about that, Vernette. If George comes back, then we'll just have to greet him." |
