A teachers drink
Role Playing as Tool Box

Tool limped painfully into the Three Broomsticks. It was a windy afternoon, but Tool did not have any lessons to teach. He should have been doing some paper work and marking essays, but he had decided to take the afternoon off. All was well in the wizarding world. Well, as well as well could be. The Ministry were still demanding his presence, he of course was still ignoring the summons.
He ordered a drink at the bar and looked around for a table. He found one, in the corner at the back and he limped over to it. He sat down, placed his drink on the table and thought back to the times he had been in this pub, years and years before. It was a strange sight to see, specially as the last time he had been in it, half its roof had been missing. He was glad they had repaired it, as it kept the wind at bay.

RE: A teachers drink
Role Playing as Vernette Flourentine

Vernette left the castle after classes, making sure to lock and seal the door to her room. She had no intention of finding a surprise in there the next morning. She made her way down the path to Hogsmead in no particular hurry, enjoying a break from the students. It was mid afternoon, and the Three Broomsticks was quiet, warm, and inviting as she made her way to the bar, ordering a tall Gillywater. Spotting Tool sitting at a table in the corner, she snatched up her drink and made her way over to sit with him.

"Afternoon Tool," Vernettte greeted him cheerfully, "How's your drink?"

Tool was brought out of his train of thought by the arrival of one of his fellow teachers.
"My drink is in liquid form, and not poisoned. What else is there to note? How about yours? Please, have a seat."

Vernette chuckled a bit at Tool's answer as she took a seat across from him. "Can't ask for much more than that, can you?" She said, taking a sip of her own drink. "Mmm, not to bad. Liquid form as well." She joked. Vernette took a look around the dusty pub. It was a slow day, with only a few other groups present.

Turning back to Tool she said, "Gilver should be here any minute, I caught him on my way out of the castle, he was just on his way out."

RE: A teachers drink
Role Playing as Leon Silverberg

"Did somebody say Gilver? You must be referring to my grandfather, Vernette."

The Silver Lion.
Leon, from nowhere, suddenly showed up behind Vernette. He was holding a mug with the famed butterbeer of the Three Broomsticks.

He greeted both of his colleagues and took a seat at the table they were in. Looking at the next person who was sitting across was Tool. The old and grumpy deputy headmaster who, as far as Leon knows, was Hogwarts' greatest defender.

"Looking grumpy as always, Tool." said Leon, his voice a bit laid back and was starting to feel a bit relaxed after a hard day's work. "I've heard that the Ministry has been looking for you. Not that I'd want to get me self involved with matters that do not concern me however, these guys from the Ministry has been asking a lot of questions from me, asking questions about your location and the sort. I guess they have also asked the other teachers in School?"

This is really good, Leon never thought that the taste of a butterbeer would be this good. He then drank a couple of gulps as he finished his words and looked at vernette then back to Tool awaiting for their replies.

Tool sighed. It appeared his trick of having an afternoon's peace and quiet had now flown out the window, and his plan to evade the Ministry was the first topic on the agenda for their conversation it would appear.
"They can ask what they like, Leon, they will get no answers from me."
He took a sip of his drink and pondered for a moment.
"I knew your grandfather," he said, looking at Leon. "Weird man. I worked with him, he was a professor at Hogwarts for a time. Fought alongside him too in the battle of Hogwarts... Yes a weird man..." he tailed off, as if lost in some distant memory.

RE: A teachers drink
Role Playing as Vernette Flourentine

"Ah, sorry Leon, I must have got the two of you confused. I believe I may have known him briefly, just as I was starting my own teaching career, back in Beauxbatons. But I really can't say for sure, that was oh so long ago," Vernette nodded, taking another sip of her drink. She thought she saw Tool's expression change at the mention of the Ministry, and considered changing the topic. "Yes, I received a few shrewd owls from the Ministry over the summer asking about you Tool. I may or may not have sent the owls back, via South America. I believe they soon got the idea."

On another note, have either of you been having any trouble with any of the students in your classes? It seems like half of them are out to get me one day, and then fine the next."

"The Ministry will no doubt dog me till my dying day." sighed Tool in response to Vernette. "I of course will give them no answers myself. What they wish to know is, I believe, completely irrelevant. If it was relevant, it would be in the History books in more detail. Alas, it is not, thus, it is irrelevant." he shifted momentarily uncomfortably in his seat, before regaining his composure almost immediately and gratefully accepting the change of subject.
"Students are students and will be students till their graduation day. Of course their out to get you Vernette, you are, in their eyes, torturing them with knowledge and homework that they would rather not worry about. I trust you heard about the prank set up in my classroom? Undoubtably set to try and catch me out, but alas it did not work for I always enter from my office, which of course I always lock when I leave it. That is what they would rather spend their time doing than writing essays on Dark Lords and practising wand movements for levitation spells. In fact, the only wand movement I think they'd like to practice is the ones that are used to torture each other. Talking of torture, Vernette, what are those scars on your wrist? It almost looks as if they've been broken?"

RE: A teachers drink

Vernette felt like she was caught between a rock and a hard place. She doubed she could lie to Tool without him knowing, but she also didn't think it was in her best interests to reveal what had gone on in the Slytherin common room between herself, Evan Koth, and Lillin Mearha. Trying to play it down she said, "Oh those, hardly anything at all really. A while ago," She said, intentionally vague, "I underestimated an opponent who had certain abilities I was unaware of at the time, and paid the price for it. I wont be making that mistake again." She said to them, ending with a small chuckle. She was telling the truth, perhaps not as Tool had intended for her to, but true none the less.

RE: A teachers drink
Weird?
That's something new, or at least to Leon's ears.
He knew little of his grandfather and has been snooping around to get more information about Gilver and Nero, his other grandfather.

"How weird is 'weird', Tool? I have heard that he fought for this school alongside you, however I've also learned that my grandfather was an adept dark arts practitioner, surely you knew about this?" Leon said, looking at Tool before taking another gulp of his butterbeer.

Leon then took notice of Vernette's wrist, it had scars and looked as if it was almost torn off. It looked awful and a bit bothering. "An opponent you say? Something tells me that you've got yourself in trouble, Vernette."
