RE: Bitter Cold
"Shapeshifter..." She looked at him for a moment and remembered sometimes noticing his changes but she never looked for very long. "I thought so but the issue is more about how much security there will be at night. If we strike during the day we'll know when the teacher is gone and if its at lunchtime we have maybe an hour to do it in. At night is always tricky. If the teacher comes back and I'm caught in the room we're both in for it. If I'm caught in the room at lunchtime.... I could easily have left a book."

RE: Bitter Cold
Mosden nodded, understanding her point. "You're right. I hadn't thought of any of it like that. Then it looks like we'll be doing it at lunch!" He said, finishing his drink. He looked at the glass, wondering briefly if they served minors.

RE: Bitter Cold
Kayla having already finished her drink pondered getting another. "Pity i'm not eighteen yet. Something like rum would have kept me warm going home. Though i suppose serving magical, underage beings is always a problem. Too many spells go awry."

RE: Bitter Cold
Mosden gave a nod. He could really use some right about now. Thinking about it for awhile, he gave her a sideways glance. "I can get us some if you want to." He had money, and making himself look older was almost pitifully easy. He knew he could pull it off too, since he had already done it once or twice.

RE: Bitter Cold
Kayla's eyes glittered. "If you could?" She chuckled wanting to see how he'd do it. "Should we stay sitting up here or go downstairs?" She wondered and looked around the room. It was one of the Inn's rooms. A single bed, table and a fire going. It was actually quite pleasant up here but she knew they'd have to go back at some point.

RE: Bitter Cold
Mosden grinned. "Stay up here. If we go downstairs there is a chance of a teacher seeing." He stood up and took in a deep breath, beginning to concentrate. Wrinkles began to form on his face as heavy swathes of grey attacked his hair. His height went down by a couple inches and muscles became softer. An average sized beard grew from his chin and his eyes shifted from icy blue to a dull brown. Once the change was complete, he looked like he was in his mid fifties. He then adjusted his vocals, giving a couple coughs at the odd feeling. Finished with his transformation, he looked over. "Do you think I'll be questioned?" He asked in what could only be described in a haggard, gravelly voice.

RE: Bitter Cold
"I highly doubt it." Kayla laughed. "I wish I could do that...." She mused and sat waiting as he went downstairs. Eventually she went over to the window and watched as the snow hit the window frame and settled. Boredly she drew a snowflake on the window with her finger.

RE: Bitter Cold
It hadn't taken Mosden too long. While the bartender was confused that a man he hadn't seen go up come down, he didn't turn down the money that he was given for a bottle of rum and firewhiskey. Stepping through the door, he gave a grin before waving the bottles a bit. "Success." He said, his voice still matching his old appearance. He sat the bottles down and concentrated, feeling his body transform back to it's original self. He stopped the morph just short of his true appearance, looking just like he did a moment ago. Taking a seat, he picked up his glass and looked at the snowflake Kayla had drawn. "Did you get bored while I was gone?"

RE: Bitter Cold
Kayla smiled. "Maybe a little." She poked the drawing with her wand and it changed into the outline of a butterfly that peeled off the glass and fluttered around. It appeared to be made of ice so when it fluttered near the fire it melted into a puddle. "Ah... Pity." She shrugged and sat down again.

RE: Bitter Cold
He gave a small look of awe at the butterfly. He wasn't used to seeing magic used like that. When it melted to a puddle, he gave a small frown. Seeing she felt indifferent about it he decided to ignore it. He turned his attention to the bottles instead. He reached for the firewhiskey, beginning to open it. "So do you drink often?"
