New Faces, Old Names
OOC: The time setting of this RP would be two days before Tool's third DATDA class.

Role Playing as Marcus Grimm

The school was rather busy today, the halls were flooded with students which looked like busy worker ants trying to get their way to their respective classrooms. It was going to be just another day of school for most of them, or at least for one student named Marcus.

Finally made his way up the stairs, Marcus took deep breaths as he reached the fourth floor of this ever huge castle. He wasn't used to walking around this much compared to his early muggle school back in Japan which was quite smaller than this. He then walked against the huge flow of students in the hall towards the library. It would be his first visit there.

Woah...
That's all Marcus could ever say as he stopped dead (well not literally) seconds after he stepped inside the library.

It was huge and had lots and lots and lots of rows of shelves stacked with so many, many, many books. His old library would simply look like a restroom compared to this one. There were also students inside, there were quite a lot of them actually and the silence of the place was deafening.

"Okay, time to look for some clues about this rickety ol' castle." Marcus walked along countless rows of shelves in search of a book that would at least give him some clues to his grandfather Gilver. After a couple of minutes searching or at least almost half an hour, Marcus stumbled on a old book along with other potion related books in a shelf somewhere in the middle of the library.

"GG."
That's all it says on the first blank page of the book. Marcus then wondered, could this book be by any chance, Gilver's? And as he decided to read the book, Marcus took a seat and opened the it to find out more about it. It could Gilver's, then again, it might be somebody else's.

Role Playing as Kayla Blake

Kayla had only left her book pile alone for a few moments to find one more. When she came back she found someone sitting in her seat and reading one of her choices. She quietly sat across from him and watched him for a few moments before picking up a potions book and reading through it. "He's an interesting author." She commented softly.

Woah!
Marcus quickly spun around to see who was behind him and he saw Kayla Blake, a Ravenclaw student whom he rarely see around the castle. "Oh Hi!, I was just looking around for books until I saw this one. This book really intrigued me, well, since it has something written on it that made it more interesting."

He then flipped back to the first page that had the initials GG written on it. "Author? You know who wrote this book? Is it by any chance, Gilver Grimm?"[/b] Taking his chances, Marcus asked if the guy with the initials GG was indeed his grandfather. Not that he'd expect he would be this guy but hey, you might never know, right?

Kayla took the book away from him and flicked through the pages. "Yes. I think that was it. But just so you know this isn't the library's copy. It's mine. My grandfather gave it to me." She told him curtly but with a small smile. She wasn't being mean but it was her book and it was old. "You can borrow it if you're careful."

"Oh right. If it was yours then why is it that I found this book on that shelf." Marcus was pointing to the shelf where he got the book. He didn't mean to be sarcastic, he just thought that if the book was indeed Gilver's then why was it given to somebody else and not to his father nor his other relatives?

"Umm. Would you mind if I borrow it for a while? I am actually looking for something." He then reached out his hand, waiting for Kayla to give the book back. "Oh and who is your grandfather? I've heard some names from my father when he told me stories about my grandfather and one of them might be yours."

"I left it on the shelf while i went to look for another book." Kayla replied and folded her arms. My, my, he was a saracastic one. "And Donovon Blakewulf." She replied. "What's it to you?"

She didn't mention her grandfather's original first name. He had changed it at some point along with his younger sister and cousin. A sort of combination of their names. Theodwulf and Blackwolf. In essence it meant exactly the same thing but it was as though they'd decided to start a new branch of the family. Kayla somewhat resented her father for changing it to just 'Blake'

Donovon.
Now why does that name sound familiar?
Donovon. Donovon. Donny.

Marcus paused for a second after hearing the name of Kayla's grandfather. He was quite sure that he has heard that name somewhere. His father perhaps? No. His father never told him much about his grandfather nor did he mentioned anyone that was related to Gilver. Marcus swam in deep thoughts, he was trying his best to recall where it was.

And after a couple of seconds, something suddenly made him remember a distant memory. The book that Kayla returned to him, the very same old book that Marcus had seen back in his home. Was it replicated? He did not know.
"Death Eaters." Marcus unconsciously whispered.

After realising that he was silent for about five minutes, Marcus finally spoke and asked. "Have you, by any chance, heard of a person named Vergil Black?" It was a name Marcus rarely spoke of, the mere mention of the name feels as if somebody out there had heard him. A name that might have been placed with a curse.

RE: New Faces, Old Names
Kayla paused in her reading at the word 'Deatheater' and glanced at him before returning to it as he went silent.

"Yes. He worked with my Grandfather." Kayla said bluntly and sighed, putting the book down. "But that's behind us now. Grandpa Don doesn't like to be bothered by people these days and they insist on asking him about where his old partner went off to. He doesn't know, you know? He broke ties with him."

RE: New Faces, Old Names
Ties? So it was true, everything he saw in the book way back was real. It had a list of Death Eaters almost a hundred years ago. Vergil Black, Donovan and the Dark Lady Havelock, those were some of the names Marcus cannot forget and he doesn't have any clue why he can always remember them.

"I don't know much about what happened back then, really. All I know is that Vergil Black is dead, he was my other grandfather and Gilver's twin brother. You could say that he was purely evil." Did he really died? He must be, after all, Marcus saw the grave himself. There was no way he could still be alive at the era.

"So... What happened to your grandfather?" Poking around more about the matter might shed some light on Marcus' questions and Kayla looked like she knew more than just Donovan and Vergil were mere acquaintances.

RE: New Faces, Old Names
".....He went into hiding. For years after the war. Neither side particularly appealed to him so neither side trusted him." Kayla was aware she was saying a lot. "No one can prove it was him. A lot's changed since then and so has he. If you mention this to anyone else I will be forced to hurt you... Understand? My Grandfather is the only family member I'll protect." Loyal till the bitter end. Trust but in those we care. Her family mottos. Not that her parents followed them or even her brother but she did. They only protected the origins of the family out of shame.

"Are you spying for Gilver?"
