RE: The Duelling Club - Lesson 2
Role Playing as Marcus Grimm

Marcus looked around from the back of the class as more students joined the duelling club. There were some new faces and some familiar ones that he have met before. He could only remember Kayla, Mosden and Tiffany. It also looks like these lot have already paired themselves up. He then wondered if there was someone in the class who still hasn't got a duelling partner.

"Alright kids. We'll first start with the discussion and NO wand flicking! Sheesh. You guys better listen up or there will be no sparring today." Leon then looked around the class, glanced at everyone and asked a question. "Does anybody in this class knows how to conjure an element? A fire, perhaps?"

Mosden immediately raised his hand. "I do, sir." He was about to pull out his wand, but remembering his remark about no magic yet, he hesitated. "Do you want me to demonstrate?"

It was a bit expected, well, since Mosden gave Leon the impression that he had the skills for duelling. "Yes, you may although I should warn you that this is merely a demonstration." Leon then waited for Mosden to show the class how to conjure a fire.

RE: The Duelling Club - Lesson 2
Mosden stood up, giving himself a distance of ten feet from anything that could be burned from what he was about to do. He wasn't too sure of which way Leon wanted him to demonstrate, so he went with the spell he was most proficient in. Sweeping his wand in a wide arc in front of him from the ground up, he said the incantation in a very clear voice. A small sized flame came from his wand, and with a wave it inveloped him like a ring. sweeping his wand to point at parts in the floor, the string of flame would leap out and strike before following his waving movements again. When he stopped, the flame died out, leaving a slightly sweaty Mosden. It wasn't a taxing spell if done so close with such a small flame, but could be if used in more higher levels.

OOC: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. Dumbledore used a MUCH bigger version in the seaside cave against Inferi.

"Quite admirable, Mosden. Ten points to Gryffindor."
Again, Leon had expected that Mosden would do a very good job in the demonstration. He was feeling a bit curious on how these kids were trained by their parents without any proper schooling. Seconds after Mosden's demonstration, Leon walked around the class and pulled out his own wand. "Incendio, it is the incantation for a spell that conjures a fire. Most of you might already know that anyway."

As he walked around, Leon stopped in front of student in the back row. Leon felt something weird as he looked at him, it was a feeling of familiarity. After pausing for a second in front of the boy, Leon continued. "Anybody else know how to conjure an element? How about water this time?"

RE: The Duelling Club - Lesson 2
At the praise and giving of house points, he was a bit shocked and humbled. Praise wasn't something he was used to but seemed to get more of here. Giving a quick thanks to the professor, he quickly moved back to his seat. When Leon mentioned water, he stayed silent. Water was an element he still had trouble getting the hang of.

RE: The Duelling Club - Lesson 2
Kayla sighed when Adam hadn't shown up and turned her attention back to the lesson. After Mosden's display she waited for the next element. Water? Raising her hand. "Sir can I?" She asked gradually. Her blue eyes looked at him curiously.

"Carry on then, Ms. Blake." Leon then waved his hand to notify the students to clear some space up for Kayla before she tries to conjure a water. Leon hoped that Kayla would perform well, after all, she's under his house, Ravenclaw.

OOC: Um, any of you guys want to partner up with Marcus in duelling? I forgot to include him before XD and he doesn't have someone to duel with.

RE: The Duelling Club - Lesson 2
Kayla stood up and smiled wickledly as she cast Aguamenti making it shower water over the entire class. Mostly Mosden because he still looked a little hot. She winked at him then stopped the spell and sat back down.
