A wrong turn?

"I wasn't blaming you..... and also because the world would be a terrible place if more people felt the way you did. That is why you should care. You claim its unjustified that you were treated as such by people so why do you become one of those people? You are repeating the actions of those before you and it is a stupid thing to do." Kayla stood up, finished. She left the cheque on the table for the waiter a long with a tip.

"There is a difference between keeping myself to myself and harming other people. I have never harmed anyone, except for food to survive. I'm not a drug dealer, Kayla," he paused, realising that she wouldn't know what he was talking about. "Thank you for the food," he said evenly, picking up his coat.

"I never mentioned Drugs, Evan." She stated calmly. "And also.... leaving people to fall into the same life as you.... If you can do something you should." Kayla's eyes blazed and she walked out quickly before he could say another sentence.

Evan shrugged and stood there for a while, staring on at the position where Kayla had last been. After a minute or two he too set off, picking up his stuff and leaving before one of the waiters could ask what he was doing, standing gormlessly in the middle of a busy restaurant.
