Transfiguration Lesson 1
Role Playing as River Dearheart River was sat at her desk with her fingers laced together as she waited for her students. Her cold blue eyes reading over a book she had taken a liking to. If the students insisted on being late she wouldn't let her time be wasted. As the door opened she appeared to pay no attention. ![]() |

RE: Transfiguration Lesson 1
Role Playing as Jack Miller Jack entered the room, a grin plastered all over his face. Finally he could go to a class where he actually excelled at. Finally, he could really show what he was made of. "Morning, Professor," he said happily, not noticing her rather uninterested expression as he found a seat in the front and lowered himself into it. This was going to be a very interesting lesson, indeed. He couldn't wait for it to begin.

RE: Transfiguration Lesson 1
Mosden found himself to be the second student that showed up. While transfiguration wasn't his best, it was definitely one of his favorites. For once he was actually finding himself looking forward to what they would be learning. Finding himself a seat somewhere in the middle, he looked at the teacher. She looked like she was interested in a book and seemed to give no attention to the two students who had just showed up. Deciding he would pay more attention to her once class started, he leaned his head back and waited for the rest of the students to show and for class to start.

RE: Transfiguration Lesson 1
Role Playing as Kayla Blake Kayla found her way to class and sat at the back. She noticed the teacher and stared at her. She looked familiar. Incredibly similar to someone she'd seen or maybe it was just a weird sense of dejavu, deciding it was better not to stare she stopped and looked at Mosden, smiled lightly then took out her book. Role Playing as River Dearheart River had noticed the students slowly make their way in. There had to be more than this. Her brief glance at them proved their attitudes to this lesson. The boys seemed to like the idea of it. The one grinning sat at the front so he must either be confident or partially sighted, the other boy sat slightly further back so perhaps less confident. The girl however. She didn't hesitate to sit at the back as if it had become habit. She wasn't sure what to make of her. Maybe she was confident maybe she wasn't. After a few minutes she began to decide whether her class ought to begin. "Seeing as you three are the only ones who could bother to make it here on time." She said abruptly. "I should probably not waste your minds by making you sit here waiting for other students who are either late or too stupid to find their way here." Her eyes cut into them as she looked up and stood. "I am Professor Dearheart. I will be teaching you the basics of transfiguration. If you prove to be good enough I will teach the more exceptional students in other classes. No point in stagnating your minds by keeping you in the same thought pool as the others." She walked towards them. "I have a few rules for this lesson. Number one; No talking unless you're spoken too. Number two; If you are ever late to my lesson you will have immediate detention. No excuses. Number three; You will do exactly as I tell you the way I tell you to do it. If these rules are too hard for you to remember they are on the wall by the board." River looked at the students. "Any questions? And please raise your hand." ![]() |

RE: Transfiguration Lesson 1
Mosden heard the door open again and saw it was Kayla. Giving her a smile and small wave, he turned back just in time for the professor to begin her speech. Her no-nonsense attitude made him stand up straighter, and every time her gaze passed him he made sure to have direct eye contact. He had a few dueling instructors that spoke with the conviction that she had, and there was something about how she held herself and spoke that seemed familiar to him. When she was finished he was sitting straight in his chair, staring directly at her. She had brought back a teaching method he hadn't seen since coming here.

RE: Transfiguration Lesson 1
Role Playing as Evan Koth Evan heard the last words of the teacher as he entered the room, barely daring to look up. It had not been his fault he was late; one poltergeist had decided to play a prank on him, but he could already tell that this teacher would have none of it. "My apologies, Professor," he said loudly before moving to sit in the middle of the room. He glanced at Jack, surprised - he was never usually this confident. Maybe he had finally found a subject he could excel in, but somehow he doubted it.

RE: Transfiguration Lesson 1
Role Playing as Lillin Meahra Lilli hadn't turned up to lessons for a while due to the fact that she'd been seriously ill. Her parents had sent her a note about her going to school and she'd gone into serious depression. She hadn't wanted to turn up to lessons for fear that she'd get angry at something or someone. Walking into the room she took a seat away from everybody including Evan, she didn't care that she was late but placed her things on her desk before staring at it sadly, she looked a mess; her hair was knotty and bags had appeared beneath her eyes. She didn't smile at anyone and the light that usually glowed in her eyes had gone out. It looked like she'd been in a fight and hadn't slept in a week. She glanced up at the teacher slightly trying to read her before giving up and looking back at the desk again. It's not easy to distinguish good from evil. Sinners can surprise you. And the same is true for saints. Why do we try to simply distinguish people as good or evil? Because no one wants to admit that compassion and cruelty can live side by side in one heart. And that anyone is capable of anything...

RE: Transfiguration Lesson 1
Role Playing as Evan Koth Evan spun round at the sound of Lilli entering the room, a grin visibly splitting across his face. A grin which rapidly disappeared as he took in the state of her. It was as if a fire, a passion burning deep inside of her, had just burnt itself out. That was certainly not the girl that he knew. Lilli... he thought, doing all he could to stop himself blurting out her name; this teacher certainly wouldn't stand for that kind of behaviour. Reluctantly, he turned back to face the front as the lesson began, determined to get to the bottom of her dishevelled appearance. He would chat to her after class.

RE: Transfiguration Lesson 1
Role Playing as Adam Tallorn Adam rushed into the room, it wasn't his fault he was late, he'd just arrived back at school after seeing his parents, after muttering an apology quickly to the teacher he took a seat next to Kayla and grinned at her, "Hey, just got back. How's you?" He rummaged through his things trying to find the right text book before setting it on the desk and looking around at everybody, his eyes lingered over the barely recognisable Lilli at the back of the room. She looked like she'd been hit by a train, he glimpsed her arm which appeared to be covered in scars but she noticed him looking and crossed her arms in front of her chest to hide it. He turned to Kayla, "Look at the train wreck." It's not easy to distinguish good from evil. Sinners can surprise you. And the same is true for saints. Why do we try to simply distinguish people as good or evil? Because no one wants to admit that compassion and cruelty can live side by side in one heart. And that anyone is capable of anything...

RE: Transfiguration Lesson 1
Role Playing as River Blake Kayla was surprised by Adam's return and smiled at him. She gave him a small hug then put her fingers to her lips before indicating the new teacher. She was strict. This lesson was going to be a pain. Role Playing as River Dearheart "Oh how kind of you all to join us finally. Well maybe now that you've wasted our time.... you can tell me about the spell 'Avifors', Mm?" She rounded on Evan, Lilli and Adam walking towards them with icey blue eyes. "Let me see.... Who will answer my question and as I said Mr Koth please raise your hand if you wish to talk. You too Tallorn. Even if you insist on talking to Blake here." River stared at them all and folded her arms. "In fact seeing as you are so talkative. Tallorn come to the front and perform Avifors." She stood next to him and waited for him to stand. ![]() |
