RE: How times have changed
Lilli sighed, he wasn't understanding her. It always made her impatient when people were like that, "No, she is not staying away from you on purpose Evan. Have you never heard of heart slumber? She will awaken and return when her heart is ready, remember she did not hear that you wouldn't leave her, she was already gone before that, so now she is suffering in silence somewhere, deep within her heart."

The other Lilli had calmed down, but now saw the rage that she had drawn out of Evan, she sighed again and let him hit her. As her cheek took the impact, she wondered about the effect this would have on his hand, it definitely wasn't going to do him any good, that was for sure. Everything seemed to be going in slow motion as he struck her and she didn't even move, when he pulled back she looked at him, "You realise punching me is like punching diamond? That's going to hurt for a while, if it's not broken."

Ignoring him and what he was going to say she stepped forward and looked at his hand, "You cannot just keep throwing yourself at an enemy like that Evan, the rage you get into means that you become weaker, prefering your fists to magic. Against a wizard, or a creature like me... That would be fatal." Her words were cold, but her warning was true, hitting her had been stupid and had achieved nothing but maybe a broken hand, "You've broken your knuckles."
Lilli picked up her wand from the floor and started to chant some incantations, making the air around his hand glow, "It's not the modern spells that you're used to for mending ailments, but it works just as well. Old magic is very good magic after all, people just don't seem to realise it. But ToolBox does, he seems to know that Ancient magic is the most powerful weapon. Because no one else knows what it is." Holding the wand up to the light she thought for a moment, "Vampires cannot recall Ancient magic either, and we have lived for so very long, but the blood that is passed down through old vampire to new born... That blood is the key. In Lilli's blood is Ancient magic, the people that used it. And she's the only vampire in the world that can use it, because she still has control over magic; I wonder if Tool is able to figure that one out."

It's not easy to distinguish good from evil. Sinners can surprise you. And the same is true for saints. Why do we try to simply distinguish people as good or evil? Because no one wants to admit that compassion and cruelty can live side by side in one heart. And that anyone is capable of anything...

RE: How times have changed
Evan recoiled as if bitten as his fist bounced off her hard skin. Hitting her was like hitting a brick wall. "What are you?" he whispered desperately, clutching his hand in pain. No wonder the Professor had failed to contain her back in the Slytherin Common Room.

"No, I haven't heard of heart slumber," he snapped frustratedly. "Most people don't have a second form waiting to come out, you know." He was trying to remain angry at this girl, but her calm demeanour was getting under his skin. His fingers itched for his wand, but finally his sanity won over and he decided not to provoke the girl any further; not, at least, in combat. Nevertheless, he had to do something. "I don't care... I would do that - die, even - for Lilli, because I love her," he muttered provocatively, not even himself fully aware of what he was saying. Reluctantly he let her tend to his hand, watching as it healed by some mysterious form of magic. "Everyone's so weak and pathetic to you, I know. There's nothing we can do about that." The mention of Tool's name, however, made him look up with renewed interest. Who was this man who Lilli hated so much? "What is this ancient magic anyway?"

RE: How times have changed
"I am a monster Evan, I told you that before." She sighed at him, "You still don't believe me, do you?"

The other Lilli cocked her head to the side and looked at him, "You know, usually I would agree with you but it is possible for everyone to go into a heart slumber, even you Evan. And I don not think everyone is weak and pathetic compared to me, in fact I envy you, because although your body may not be as strong as mine, your heart is so much stronger than mine. If I step into the sunlight I would burn and turn to dust, scattering into the wind as though I never existed in the first place, but you would survive. Everyone is strong in their own way. I was just giving you some advice, no one lives for long if all they can do when they are angry is lash out with their fists."
She perked up a little when he asked about Ancient magic, "Tool Box uncovered the ancient texts in which this magic was hidden, he found it so many years ago. His true love died that day when he had finally recovered it. Ancient magic was once widely used by wizards and witches alike, it was a true form of power, not covered in spells and words like nowadays but raw, with the potential to cause unending demise. Tool Box used this power against his enemies, because his enemies knew no power that could defeat it or him." Looking at her wand again she frowned, "You have heard the story of Racheal Carlow, a relative of Lilli's that cursed them all? Well, Racheal was the only one that could match Tool in power and strength, although she could not use Ancient magic, her spells and attacks knew no equal with any other in the Ministry or the world. Apart from Tool. He had not yet fully mastered the Ancient magic, but he was still growing stronger every day because of it, now Tool works for the school and used to work as the head of the Ministry. Ancient magic is more dangerous than I, and if asked, I would not try to uncover the secrets of the vampire blood within me. Lilli would refuse too, because she is smarter than those like Tool, the ones who play with fire."

RE: How times have changed
OOC: So when is Lilli coming back?
IC:
"I guess strength is relative... having skin like a brick wall would have come in useful a few years ago..." he looked away for a minute, remembering times that now seemed long past. And it was all down to the girl in front of him. Well, not quite.

"She told me about Rachael," he slowly began, straining to remember exactly what she had said. "Well... it must be really something if it's more dangerous than you," he smiled briefly, his previous rage forgotten. "This man, Tool. Can he die? Can anybody beat him?"

RE: How times have changed
OOC: Soon, she won't be gone for very long, just until they finally get back to the castle then Lilli is gonna force the actual Lilli back out again :)

IC: "I thought she might have, all her family lineage seem to have an obsession for trying to make Tool pay for what he did to her. It never happens though, and we can only guess about what happened to Racheal. She dissapeared from the psychiatric ward she was placed in, she killed so many people the night she tried to arrest Tool; even I am not capable of doing something that cruel. I may be a monster, but I am not stupid or mad." Lilli laughed at his next question, "Tool Box is your teacher, no one wants to kill him nowadays apart from those related to Racheal; he has lived so many years, his life drawn out to a thin line through the ages. Now, I think that he could very well be killed... But he is still too strong; the only person who has ever come close to being able to defeat him and kill him was Racheal... No one can even be certain of her death though... I don't know..."

RE: How times have changed
OOC: OK, so should we head back to the castle? Or you could bring her out now?

IC:

"I think Lilli told me she wanted to kill him..." he wasn't sure if he should be telling this to her, but nevertheless he pressed on. "So she tried to arrest Tool for... what? And then she went mad and kill a lot of people?" he was evidently sruggling with this story as they began to walk back towards the castle. "Why would people want to arrest and kill him? I thought that he was the Minster for Magic?"

RE: How times have changed
OOC: Head back towards the castle then before the enter the gates, the other Lilli will drag Lilli out again :)

IC:

"Yes, Lilli would have told you that... Because she really does want to kill him." Lilli stared at the moon as she walked, carefully thinking of what to say next, how to break the news about Tool, "Tool wasn't always good. He was forced to become Minister of Magic as penance, a punishment for being one of the most dangerous Dark Lords the magical world has ever seen. Racheal was tracking him down, making sure that she knew what he was doing all the time, but she lost contact and went in herself to take him down... He had slaughtered all his followers just to find the rat that was telling the Ministry everything. But in actual fact he had never really cared about their knowledge in the first place, all he cared about was finding her. They had a legendary battle before he dissapeared for a bit; she came out of the house looking bruised and beaten then had tried to bite of the hand of the wizard trying to heal her wounds, he had called more from the Ministry in terror as she killed him and then began to slaughter everyone in her sight."

They were coming up to the gates, it was time for the other Lilli to leave, "It is time for me to go. Best not talk to Lilli about these things, she is sensitive about them and it draws out her anger and resentment, which even I have to admit are not her best traits." She smiled at Evan, "I'll see you around Evan, I'm sure."
The other Lilli continued to walk, but closed her eyes and concentrated for a moment, finding Lilli inside herself was easy; giving her a push to wake up, the other Lilli laughed before fading away into the darkness once more. Opening her eyes, the colour had returned to them and her skin was no longer pale. Lilli was weak but fine and she looked at Evan, walking next to her, "You haven't left?"

Lilli jumped onto him and hugged him tightly, "I love you Evan."

RE: How times have changed
"Wow..." Evan stopped for a moment to process this information. His Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, a Dark Lord? The man had certainly seemed suspicious, and Lilli had helped to bring some of that out a bit, but this came as a shock. But how is it a penance to force somebody to become Minister for Magic?" he muttered, more to himself than anybody else. Before he could continue, it seemed that the other Lilli was finished with him. "Bye..." he smiled, more excited at the return of his love than anything else. "Nice meeting you," he kissed her quickly on the cheek as she began to change.

"Lilli!" he almost screamed with delight, finding himself in her arms before he could jump into her himself. "Lilli... I'm so sorry," he whispered, looking deeply into her eyes and eagerly drinking up the swirling colours within. He put one hand on her cheek, feeling her warmth radiate into him. He placed a finger on her lips, trembling at their beauty. Everything she had; all her beauty, were magnified a hundred fold to him now that he had missed her for so long. "I love you so much!" He squeezed her tight, knocking all the air out of her. "Lilli..."

RE: How times have changed
As the other Lilli dissapeared she felt the kiss on her cheek fade with her, it made her smile and would have made her blush if she was able. She had to say that she understood why Lilli liked him so much, he was different to other people and had different views and ways of thinking, he wasn't even afraid to touch her.

Lilli felt the breath slip out of her as he held her so tightly, it made her grin at him as she wrapped her arms around him and kissed him on the lips, pulling back she looked into his eyes, it had been dark for so long but now she was back in his arms, he hadn't left her, they were still together and everything just seemed perfect, "Evan, I love you!" Everything inside her knew that this was true as she held onto him with all her might, "I love you, I love you, I love you!"

RE: How times have changed
Evan shut his eyes tightly as he felt Lilli's soft lips touch against his. Oh, how good it felt now! He too began to feel his throat constrict a little, but he didn't care; everything was back to normal. "Lilli..." he whispered into her ear, his hand running through her silky hair. "I don't know how you can forgive me... I was such a fool. You didn't feel anything, did you? When the other girl was there?" he asked cautiously as they headed into the school.
