How times have changed
Role Playing as Lillin Meahra

Lilli slowly walked through Hogsmeade, it had started snowing again and the grey skies reflected her mood. Her parents had written a letter addressed to her, saying that they knew where she was and they were not happy about it:

Lilli,

Come home immediately. We know you're at that school and we know that you're learning spells that we could just as easily have taught you. You've been a bad girl again running away like that and not coming home. And you know what happens to people who do bad things. They get punished. We will be seeing you soon. I can promise you that. You will regret the decision to ever run away from us. Regret it deeply.

Father

He hadn't sworn in the letter or explained in detail what he would do, or what he would let her mother do but it still scared her. It scared her that she'd been found by the only two people that she was afraid of.
Fearing what might happen to her, she shut herself away from the world, making sure that she was hidden from everyone. Her health had deteriorated rapidly as she didn't eat or drink anything. She'd sliced her arms to ribbons so many times that the cuts stopped healing. There was no doubt that Lilli was a mess.
Walking through Hogsmeade she wore her plain black robes with her hair hung over her face slightly, the bags under her eyes hadn't totally dissapeared yet. Her appearance was shabby at best and very dark.
She looked through shop windows searching for anything, keeping an eye around her at all times just in case someone was watching her, about to jump out from the shadows...

It's not easy to distinguish good from evil. Sinners can surprise you. And the same is true for saints. Why do we try to simply distinguish people as good or evil? Because no one wants to admit that compassion and cruelty can live side by side in one heart. And that anyone is capable of anything...

Role Playing as Evan Koth

Evan watched, aghast, from his hiding place deep in the shadows. He stared unbelievingly as she drifted along the street, taking in her bleeding arms and her ruffled appearance. He shrunk backwards, unwilling to reveal himself to this new Lilli. Fear gripped him, an amalgamation of his whirlwind of thoughts. Fear of what this girl would say or do to him when he revealed himself, fear for his life, but above all, fear built on love. Fear of what this Lilli had become, and what she was becoming. Fear of the future, and of the present. As he sunk deeper into these confusing thoughts, the girl was walking closer and closer. If he didn't do something soon, she would pass him by.

"Lilli," he whispered, finally breaking out into the open. He stood, arms hanging loosely by his side, legs apart, directly in front of her. The sight of Lilli head-on was so shocking it almost sent him reeling backwards. "Lilli," he repeated, unable to think of anything else to say. He ached to run into her arms, or at least what was left of them, and grip her oh so tight.... No. He couldn't. First he would wait for her to react.

Lilli focussed her eyes on the boy in front of her, the one that she loved so much, "Evan..." She rolled her sleeves down fully and licked the blood off her palms slowly, keeping her eyes on him, watching his every movement.
At first she didn't know what to say or do, the ferocity and anger that usually drove her had ebbed away, only to be replaced by fear and sadness. It was when she went numb, when the feelings went away completely that she started cutting herself to make her feel something, to make her forget, she didn't fully understand why she did it to herself. She just knew that it made her feel slightly better, knowing that she could still feel pain, even if she didn't feel her emotions properly anymore.
Now she had another challenge to face, the boy in front of her loved her and she was in such a state. Lilli had no idea what to say to him or what to do, she panicked slightly as the thoughts hit her that for once, she wasn't in control of any situation that was put to her, "Evan. I'm sorry." Tears began to stream down her face uncontrollably as fear coursed through her.

RE: How times have changed
For a moment, anger coursed uncontrollably through Evan as he stood before his love. How could she do such a thing to him? The most beautiful of people was now physically sickening to look at, and it was nobody's fault except herself. But Evan could never stay angry at Lilli for long. He pulled out his wand and flicked it deftly, watching with a twisted yet slightly satisfied smile as her wounds begand to heal and the blood disappeared. His work complete, he ran towards the girl, tears beginning to stream down his face.

"Why?" he asked simply as he buried his head in her shoulder, gripping her tightly. "Is it..." Evan hiccuped, not willing to finish the thought that was now bursting through him. He had done this; he had dismantled her defences at a time when she needed them most, and without him around she had descended into depression. "I'm so sorry," he whispered, now feeling guilty at the very act of holding Lilli in his arms. Even so, he didn't break away - he couldn't do that to her at a time like this. "What happened?" he whispered softly, gripping her ever tighter. "You were so strong... who could have done this to you?" his voice took on a hardened edge, vengeance the latest in the line of emotions which coursed through him.

Lilli stroked him softly and pressed her face into him, "They... Know where I am. I was stupid to think that I was safe."
She still wasn't in control and she gently pushed him away from her, "Don't want to hurt you. Would kill myself to hurt you again." Her tone was completely monologue, the only emotion that coursed through her was fear and anger. She didn't know what to do so she was angry at herself, she wanted to feel pain just to let her know that she could at least still feel something. She didn't want to stand out anymore, didn't want to be noticed because it would make it easier for them to find her, "They sent me a letter. It isn't your fault."

Evan realised gradually what Lilli was trying to do, and responded by clinging onto her tighter. Now that the very thoughts that he had were infecting her, he couldn't bear to go through with what he was thinking. "Do you still have it?" he whispered as it dawned upon him who had sent the letter. "I have to see it. Then... then I'll kill them," he shook with rage, forgetting himself for a moment and his duty to calm Lilli down.

"Lilli..." he began, searching wildly for the right words, "Leaving me would only hurt me more. Don't do that to me. Remember what we had," he kissed her softly and quickly on the lips, trying to bring her back to happier times. "Never forget that day..."

"I would never leave you... I couldn't leave you." Her eyebrows creased together as she thought what life would be like without Evan there. She nodded solemnly to his first question though, "It's at the castle. Don't want to bring it with me. Remembered it off by heart anyway."
Lilli couldn't meet his eyes, hers were so dull now; she'd lost herself somewhere and she didn't know what to do anymore. She was confused as to why Evan still wanted her when she looked the way she did. She was surprised that she was still standing there, relatively safe, away from her parents. She was afraid that they would find her and angry at herself for becoming such a wreck and being so weak.
Weakly, she tried to remember better times, times that she had spent with Evan but all she could think of was what they used to do to her, what they used to put her through, all she could see was bad, "There is nothing good anymore. No one cares about me, if I can't learn... If I can't be safe at this school then I have nothing."

Evan softly took hold of Lilli's face and pulled it so that it was facing straight into his, forcing her to look at him. "That's not true," he said immediately. "I care about you. I care about you oh so much. You're safe here. Hogwarts is the safest place in the world to be; so they sent you a letter and they know where you are. What can they do to you? Nothing, Lilli. And what you're doing to yourself," he pointed at her shredded arm, "You're just giving into them. They're winning. Be strong, Lilli, and nothing will happen to you. And remember - I'll always be there for you." He finished with another kiss.

She shook her head at him and pulled away slightly, "No they can, they can find me. They've found me and they'll come, from somewhere. From no where. Don't know what to do anymore, don't know where's safe anymore. Just want them to go away, just want them to leave me alone."
Lilli stepped away and looked around her for a second, wondering if anyone else was around, "They could be anywhere, hiding. My mum won't come out in daylight but she'll still be there, he'll make sure that I pay for leaving."

RE: How times have changed
"No no no. They're just making you paranoid... you're falling for their plan. Please be strong, Lilli. For me," he held her at arm's length for a moment, taking in her expression in all its worry and fear. "What have they done to you... you're so different," his voice dropped back to a slightly awed whisper. "Please..." he caressed her decimated arm, trying to soothe her wound as his spell worked its magic. "They haven't done any harm to you. You've done it all for them."
