Role Playing as Jack Miller

Jack walked briskly through the deserted street, constantly looking around to see if anyone was watching him. An old man snapped round as he walked past, sending Jack on edge. It was dangerous out here in the Muggle world, now that he carried a wand.

He checked his watch; he was early. Good; that would give him lots of time to get into his disguise.

Perfect. As planned, there was a small alleyway branching off to the left. Checking one more time to see if he was being followed, he moved into it. The buildings here were dingy and run down, and blocked off most of the rising sun. Jack took a deep sigh, and closed his eyes. His heart rate began to slow as he moved into the mindset required to transform. Slowly, he began to shrink. Hair began to break out all over his body. His nose moved inwards towards his face. Throughout the whole of it, Jack maintained the deepest of concentration. He knew that if he broke it, he would be in deep trouble.

Ten minutes later, a cat emerged. It yawned and then burst into a run, moving back onto the main road and towards the pre-designatedmeeting point.

Lucas had not arrived yet. Jack was just going to have to sit it out until he did. He found a bench and leapt onto it, tail hanging over the back, and began to wait for Lucas O'Connor...

Izzy was tired. She'd been walking home from the store. As she neared her home her phone rang. Answering it she realised it was her cousin calling. "Hello? Hi Luki." She grinned and stopped for a minute to adjust her shopping bags. "Oh? Yeah.... Oh no that's okay.... So why can't you make it?..... Luki?.... Is that a girl? Lucas.... are you honestly blowing me off for some girl you picked up?" She sighed and rolled her eyes. "Yeah love you too Cousin dearest."

When she put the phone away she saw a cat standing outside her garage. She smiled and went over to it. "Hello there little one." Izzy loved animals. Crouching down she tickled it's chin and grinned at it. "What're you doing here out by the road?"

Jack looked up. Luki? Could it be....? No. What would be the chances? But perhaps that was why he had told him to meet here? Jack looked down again, deep in thought as the girl continued to talk. 'Lucas...' James looked up again, squinting at the girl. 'Yeah love you too cousin dearest.' This almost made James fall of the bench in shock. He shook his head, putting the thought out of his mind. But then again, she did seem to share some sort of resemblance with Lucas...

He was so deep in thought that he didn't notice the girl as she moved up to him and began to tickle his chin. "Miaow?" he said, agitated. Should he run? No; he had to stay here and wait. For now, at least, the girl was doing no harm to him.

"Oh you poor thing. You look hungry." She sighed and carefully tried to pick him up. "Lucky for you I've got somethin tasty to share. Now that my useless cousin bailed on me." Izzy grinned and petted him some more. "So what's your name eh?"

She laughed slightly and started walking back to her home. It wasn't the first time she'd found a stray animal and even if it wasn't she at least gave it a good meal before returning it home. "You look like a Jay...." Izzy smirked and let him get up to her shoulders before opening the garage. "Now let's see if you like chicken.... I have tuna too..."

Oh man. Jack tried to sigh, but then realised he couldn't. It came out as a kind of yawn; his teeth gleaming in the light. He tried to wriggle out of Izzy's grip but couldn't make it. He began to hiss at her, putting as much malice as he could (as a cat), hoping that she would have second thoughts about adopting such an unfriendly pet.

Izzy looked at him and put him down on the garage floor. "You ain't that friendly are ya. I think you cut me.... See?" She crouched down next to him and held out her arm. "What's got ya so spooked anyway?" she looked around and saw the hulking monstrosity under the dust sheet. "...Ah... Beast. Tell you the truth if I wasn't the one who fixed him... I'd be terrified too." Izzy sighed and stood up. "Okay lets make something tasty for you. Or....I could just order it." She smirked. Cooking was a little too much effort right now and she wanted to concentrate on what lay beneath the sheet.

Jack mentally raised an eyebrow. She thought he was scared of that thing? What was it anyway? Some sort of... vehicle? It was certainly larger than any car he'd ever seen before. Curiousity now began to take over the cat and he crept closer, forgetting himself and his need to get out. Food didn't sound so bad either...

Perhaps he'd stay a while.

Izzy ordered some chinese and smirked at the cat edging closer to the car. "Ah curious cat." She took the edge of the cloth and pulled it off. Underneath was a large, black monster of a car with neon green graffitti on it's bonnet and down the edges. "This is the bane of my life and my pride and joy." She picked up the cat to have a better look. "...The engine doesn't purr like you.... it roars and growls. I swear the damn thing wants to kill me." She sighed.

"Thing has a life of it's own." She popped the cat on the bonnet and got her tools. She had no idea why she spent so much time on this car but she felt the need to. It was like an animal, it needed proper care or it'd die and considering where she got it from she was surprised it wasn't dead already. She looked up at the cat from where she knelt and rooted through the toolkit. "...Beast was bout to be crushed at a junkyard. Kinda like bein put down at the pound. I rescued him.... even after I'd heard the rumours that the previous owner died in a freak car accident. The car....somehow fine." She explained.

Jack watched, intrigued, as the girl revealed the most massive car he had ever seen, lit up with neon green. Roars and growls alright; Jack could imagine what kind of a racket that thing would make thundering down the street. That is, if it would fit. He looked down, slightly worried, as he was raised off the ground and placed on the massive car. He rubbed his paws on it, feeling its smooth body against his fur.

He listened intently as the girl told her about the story of the car, nodding in all the right places; it took him a while before it dawned upon him that she had no idea that he could understand every word. Well, no matter; whatever made her happy. And he really was interested in the story of this monster - for monster is the only word that could describe this 'car'.

"You know I'm not expecting to get in under control..... Even if I got it to perfect working condition I can tell that it might bite me..... It's already tried to." Izzy stared into it's lights for a minute. "That's the problem with cars. Even if they have spirits they can't appreciate a little help. Still I love animals.... even the ones who'll kill me after help." She grinned and pulled out a wrench. "Either way Jay kitty. I'm gonna race this Beastie if it kills me."

She saw the cat kind of nodding and smiled. "Mm..... not all of them nod like you. All the animals I see.... But they can understand me. I know they can."
