Mosden's detention
Role Playing as Tool Box

For the second time in two days Tool was in his classroom about to hold a detention for a student. Yesterday he had dealt with Lilli, and what an experience that had been. Now he was to deal with Mosden, for his behaviour in yesterday's Defense Against the Dark Arts lesson. He awaited Mosden's arrival by sitting at his desk. Now he was to find out what William had told him. While Tool waited, he thought back to the times he had met William, met, fought, and worked with William. It was strange, he thought, to now be teaching his descendant. Stranger still, that he knew precisely who he was, yet hadn't told anyone else...

RE: Mosden's detention
Mosden trudged the corridor, feeling both dread and excitement at the thought of being alone with Tool. He knew he hadn't done anything wrong morally, so wasn't worried that he would be scolded for something like that. What he was sure was going to happen, though, was that the topic was going to turn to his guardian. He gave a slight sigh as he neared the door, pushing away his emotions and forcing himself to calm.

Entering the room, he nodded to Tool, walking up and standing next to the front-most seat. "Good morning, Professor."

"Hello Mosden. Please, take a seat."
Tool indicated a seat infront of his desk for him.
"William told you about me before you arrived didn't he?"

RE: Mosden's detention
Mosden sat down, situating himself to be more comfortable. He was sure he'd be here for a while. When Tool asked the question, it confirmed his suspicions.

"Yes. Over the years that I've lived with him he has told me nearly every detail of his time at Hogwarts, you being a big part of it. However, before we start questioning, there are some things I can't talk about, so if I refuse to answer, please just leave it be." Mosden tried to sound as formal as he could, but he was actually slightly nervous. He was forced into agreeing with multiple Unbreakable Vows during his time with William, and hoped that Tool wouldn't press when they eventually hit a topic he couldn't speak about.

"Then you know a lot about me, you should know I won't ask something unless major things hang in its balance. But no matter, we have plenty of time together. But first, I want to know, what did he tell you about me?"

RE: Mosden's detention
Mosden nodded before answering. "He mostly told me about your power with the....Book." Mosden faltered, remembering he wasn't allowed to call it the true name, even to those who knew about it. "He would rant about the students you killed. He said something about you training a man to be the successor of the power. He'd also talk about how you treated him before and after he gained that dark power. But his biggest rants were about your magic and how....You apparently led to the death of someone he loved." Mosden finished, glancing away for a moment. In all reality, Mosden would shut William out when he ranted about Tool, so most of what William had said to him either wasn't heard or he had forgotten because he didn't feel like he'd need to remember it.

RE: Mosden's detention
<OOC: It's been a long time since I've roleplayed the part of Tool. Can you remind me/link me to a topic on v1/v2 with the details of that plot please? I remember the bit about training someone up, read that on V1 today, most of it.>

Tool nodded.
"Yes..." he said, taking it all in. Of course William would have ranted about that. Tool never came off in a very good light when told of by others. Just remembering the detention with Lillin the day before told him. He was used to it, though he didn't like it to much.
"Hugh, was his name. The person I was training up. He..." Tool tailed off, remembered the battle in which Hugh had been killed. "Didn't like the magic." he lied.
"So, you know about my immense power, you know I've killed before. Tell me, why did you leave your seat despite my orders for you not to in the lesson?"

RE: Mosden's detention
Ooc: If your talking about the ancient book plot, it's spread out in various topics on V2. The gist of it was that The Dark Book of Ancient Magic and Light Book of Ancient Magic were two ultimate, very powerful artifacts holding great magic and power to use it. Tool used the Light one, and Tool revealed that the Dark Book had chose Vince. The eventual death had been Olly Havelock, who you basically left to die in this topic after a big battle between you, Olly, and Vince: http://dcf.danielchorley.co.uk/index.php...ic=936&hl= . The only student I think I remember you killing was Bicara, though there might have been more.

IC:Mosden scowled when he asked the question he didn't figure he'd need to ask. "I wasn't going to let someone go through the pain of the Cruciatus curse. Not knowing what it felt like myself." He said this with a clear, impassioned tone. He could recall times when the curse was so great that his body would shake and his mind would slip in and out. He couldn't believe that anyone, if given a choice, would stand by and watch someone go through that pain.

RE: Mosden's detention
<OOC: Ah yes, Olly. I couldn't remember who it was who'd been the 'love'. I can remember most of the book plots, just not all the deaths. I remember Bicara quite well, I may re-read the war posts. Thanks :) >

"I see. Tell me, did Wiliam ever mention the fact that most of the things I do go towards a greater plan, a greater good? That Ministry Official, needs the lessons that will show him the right path. Tell me, is it down to the student to determine who is used where on the elaborate chess board?" he asked, without emotion, though he was contemplating a visit to William, to remind him the error of dark magic.

RE: Mosden's detention
"My guardian knew that you said that you work for a greater good. He just didn't believe that your greater good was right. And I have no right to choose who is used and how, but neither do you, no matter how powerful or old you are. And if you really think you have the right to shape the world in what you think is right by using all people and means necessary, maybe you've been around for too long and need to get lost." Mosden fumed, glaring at Tool. He really didn't have anything against Tool before coming, even hearing the jaded opinions and facts from his great grandfather. But now that he was here, and seeing how Tool acted and treated others, he had to wonder if William was completely wrong. While he didn't seem as bad as William made him out to be, he sure wasn't a good example of what power and longevity could do to a person. Of course, neither was William.
