To Catch A Scoundrel
Role Playing as Lillin Meahra

Lilli walked through the cold Hogsmeade, winter was well on the way and she could tell that it was going to snow soon. The cold weather had drawn people indoors, away from the shops which had closed early for the day because of poor customer intake.
She had taken Evan along with her and she stood still, watching, listening and sniffing the air for the person they were looking for. She had managed to track him down to Hogsmeade but she didn't know which store he was in, or house or where he was exactly.

Looking at Evan she smiled, "He's around here somewhere. I can't say where exactly though. Someone said he came here quite a lot to get a few things for potions and general interest buying. But I don't know whereabouts here that he could be. You have any ideas?"

Adam walked out of the building and wrapped his scarf around his jaw, it was freezing cold out and he needed to be able to feel his fingers as soon as he got back into the building so he could set about his next major prank, which hopefully he wouldn't have to kill this time.
As soon as he took a look around though he stopped and stared, that Lilli girl that he had cursed with cheese was standing in the middle of the square talking to the green haired boy.
Suddenly he became slightly worried and before the girl noticed him he jumped into the doorway he'd just stepped out of, wondering what was going on.

It's not easy to distinguish good from evil. Sinners can surprise you. And the same is true for saints. Why do we try to simply distinguish people as good or evil? Because no one wants to admit that compassion and cruelty can live side by side in one heart. And that anyone is capable of anything...

Kayla stepped out into the cold and slipped her gloves on. She'd just been in the pub drinking a nice warm butterbeer after coming to collect a jacket she'd ordered in. A purple thing with a grey faux fur lined hood. She debated putting it on now but decided it was too cold to try and switch. As she walked her way back she spotted a flash of green hair and then heard a girl's voice. She frowned and recognised them as the only people they could be. Lillin and her boy-toy Evan. They were looking for someone from what she could hear. She rolled her eyes and began to walk passed them trying to ignore their prescence.

Evan wrapped himself tighter, his teeth chattering but none more so than his hands - he had kept his gloves off for without them it was much easier to practise magic. He had never left London in his life before going to Hogwarts and he wasn't used to the intense cold. He watched Lilli using her enhanced sense in awe, wishing that he had powers like that; they would have got him out of quite a scrap back in they day. But that didn't matter now. Evan looked up quickly, back on high alert. Was it his imagination or had he just seen the boy? "Lilli..." he muttered, pointing vaguely in the direction of the flash.

Then 'the Kayla girl', as he knew her, walked passed him. He coughed loudly but politely, trying to keep things as civil as possible. "Do you know the other boy?" He asked, realising that he was being too vague. "The other boy in the class; the new kid."

Lilli noticed him shivering and frowned slightly, she didn't need to wrap-up during winter because she didn't feel the cold. She turned her attention the Kayla as she walked by, "Hey, sorry about class the other day, but do you know the new boy. I think his name's Adam or something. We're looking for him."
She sniffed the air slightly as she caught the scent of something familiar, but she ignored it, thinking it was just Kayla.

He listened intently to their converstaion realising to his horror that they were actually looking for him, at first he thought about running, but when Kayla turned up he knew that he couldn't just leave her with those two. From what he'd heard around the teachers' common room the two were dangerous and not to be messed with. She could be in danger, and as much as he hated the situation he was in, he was not up for just running off and leaving her to fight them alone.
Knowing that he'd regret the decision later he walked out of the doorway as though nothing was happening, trying his best to ignore them as best he could.

Kayla thought about it, or appeared to be thinking about it. She looked over to Evan and saw his bare hands. "You know... wearing gloves is a good idea when it's this cold." She commented and then turned back to Lillin.

"Sorry but I haven't seen him since the class." Kayla lied. "Any reason why you're looking for him? I mean if I see him I could pass on a message." Who would be desperate enough to look for someone in the cold.

"Perhaps..." he shrugged at Kayla's comment. Pulling out his wand, he tapped both of his hands and muttered under his breath, allowing a warming sensation to spread around his hands. It wouldn't really deal with the cold, but at least he didn't feel it anymore. Looking up, he spotted another movement. This time he could see for sure; they had found their prey. "Lilli," he said urgently, tapping the girl beside her to catch her attention. "He's over there."

Lilli turned her attention to movement beside her, and gripped Evan's hand by instinct, "Come on, hey Adam." She shouted at the boy, "We were looking for you."
She grimaced slightly as she took Evan along with her to go and talk to him, "Just wanted to know if you know anything about the cursed cheese in Charms class yesterday?"

Adam stayed silent as Lilli and Evan approached him, trying not to think about what they could do to him, he smiled at Kayla, "Hey Kayla, how're you doing?"
He knew his attempt at trying to get them to back off by involving another student might not work but he gave it a try anyway.

Evan sighed; it appeared that he wasn't the only one who liked to go straight to the point. This time, however, it wouldn't suit them well; especially since it appeared that he and the Kayla girl knew each other quite well. Well, if it came to a fight that would even the odds a little. He stepped forwards, trying and failing to employ use of the art of tact. "Did you..." shaking his head, he tried again. "Good at charms?" he asked in what he hoped was a light-hearted tone.

Adam definitely peferred Evan to Lilli and he smiled at him slightly, "Good at all types of magic really, defence against the dark arts is a bit of a favourite but charms is alright I guess... Why? You think I planted that cheese?" He tried to act his way out of this one, wondering if the two would fall for his fake smile, although the sweat was starting to develop, even in the cold weather.

RE: To Catch A Scoundrel
"Oh, the cheese!" he exclaimed unconvincingly as he feigned surprise that he had brought it up. "Yeah, well, come to think of it, there weren't that many people in the class. And considering we've already asked Kayla... there aren't really many other possibilities." He noted mentally that the boy was already feeling the pressure; good, at least they were being intimidating.
